In the United States, the Air Carrier Access Act prohibits disability discrimination in air travel and requires airlines to provide disability-related assistance, including wheelchair or guided assistance, seating accommodations, boarding and deplaning support, and assistance with loading and stowing assistive devices. Airline assistance must be provided in a safe and dignified manner.
